Shoe Me This

Guess Heels

I recently bought this pair at DSW. (They were on the sale rack so I couldn't resist.) The bright red leather is a great contrast with the canvas.

The comfort level is a bit lacking. The heels are a too tight to wear all day without slipping them off under my desk to give my toes a break. However, they are well worth the pain so long as I do not need to run any where.

 

A Poem About Shoes

Before I discovered Edgar Allan Poe and Dorothy Parker, my mother would read children's poems to me before bed nearly every night. One of my favorites was, of course, about shoes.

Choosing Shoes

Red and pink and blue shoes.
Tell me, what would you choose,
If they'd let us buy?

Buckle shoes, bow shoes,
Pretty pointy-toe shoes,
Strappy, cappy low shoes;
Let's have some to try.

Bright shoes, white shoes,
Dandy-dance-by-night shoes,
Perhaps-a-little-tight shoes,
Like some? So would I.

BUT
Flat shoes, fat shoes,
Stump-along-like-that shoes,
Wipe-them-on-the-mat shoes,
That's the sort they'll buy.

We all live in a Yellow Pair of Shoes

It's summer. Time for short-shorts and shoes with in colors loud enough to rival a rainbow. Everyday, it seems like someone else in the office is wearing a pair of yellow shoes. Yellow is the new pink for 2008. Here is the pair I wore today: Rocketdog yellow flats with zippers (they really do zip).
