Nine West Desoto Slide Heel

I always enjoy wearing Nine West shoes. I'm also always looking for new colors to wear, which is why I'm drawn to this pair of heels by Nine West: the Desoto Slide. It is available in navy multi-colors, black, pewter, brushed silver, and bronze multi-colors. The navy stood out the most to me.

The pleats on the uppers add a touch of retro flair and the tapered 4-1/2 inch heels is elegant. Overall, it is a feminine and fun shoe.

The only drawback I fine in my online window shopping is in regards to the materials. Normally, I don't like synthetic fabrics. However, the Desoto Slide still looks chic even though the material is a mix of synthetic and leather.

If anyone has this shoe, let me know what you think of the comfort level.

Jessica Simpson Greymer Heels

 

I've always liked peep-toe heels and this pair is one I would like to added to my collection. The attention to detail on the Jessica Simpson Greymer shoes makes this pair a winner. The uppers are made of a soft suede. The small square cut outs are reminesent of summer. It's also available in a variety of colors but my favorite is raspberry. I also like the fact that the heel is mid-sized at 1 3/4 inches. I haven't tried this pair on yet (I found it on Buy.com), but if anyone out there as then please let me know how you liked them!

Jeans Tucked Into Boots? Try Stirrupz

It's winter time and, as always, boots are the rage. This year, the trend is to tuck pants into your boots. I was browsing other shoe blogs today for hot boots when I stumbled upon a timely product. Shoewawa had a great review of Stirrupz, which you clip onto the bottom of your jeans or pants to avoid having them creep up your leg and out of your fabulous boots. For $21, you can buy these off the Stirrups site. I'm eager to try the product. If you have tried it, please let me know what you think!

UGHly Shoes: Irregular Choice Take A Bow Heel

Let me start by saying that I am an Irregular Choice fan. While I adore their quirky style, I don't care for their "Take A Bow" heel. The velvet bow drives me nuts.

Normally, I also get a kick out of the cartoonish soles but the ice cream on a red background is too far of a  departure from the rest of the shoe.

In short, Take A Bow looks like something Barbie would wear if she were selling Mary Kay.

UGly Shoes: Jessica Simpson Percey

The devil is in the details. Change your color scheme on a pair of shoes and you change the entire looks. Take Jessica Simpson's Percey heel as an example. The purple and white looks like something  that the Misfits from Jem would wear.

Now look at the shoes in solid tan... The look is chic and casual.

Shoelaces: Prints, Sparkles, etc.

 
New Years brings resolutions. One that most people, including myself, set as a priority is fitness. The bad news in 2009 is that many of us are on a tight budget. Personally, I won't be purchasing new clothes to wear to the gym but that does not mean I don't have anything new to add to my gym clothes bag. Enter shoelaces.

Shoelaces come in a myriad of colors and designs. You'll find cartoons like South Park or Hello Kitty, geometric prints, stripes and more. Some shoelaces even have sparkles... I stay away from these, which are quite effective at bringing on flashbacks of when I was 8 years-old after ballet class.

As for me, I only need shoelaces when I'm working-out and running. As a runner, finding a pair that does not come untied during a race is crucial. I'm still looking a perfect pair so please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Nine West Jack Pump

Happy New Year, readers. It's been a few weeks since my last post but I'm looking forward to a year of great fashion finds to share. Let's start with Nine West.

The Nine West Jack Pump is a combination of sex appeal and class. Understatement lends itself to a timeless feel. Basic colors like beige and black provide a contrast that pops and is sure to complement any outfit. Thin buckles and heels look sexy and will not distract the eye from your silhouette. Plus the dearth of all things chunky will create a slender ankle. The heel measures a towering 4 1/2 inches. While this will be difficult to run it, it will be easy to look stunning.
